Khebir's Daughters

Khebir is represented in the Straight Babson group through his daughters Biroufa (x Fay Roufa - f. 1948), Khedena (x Fa Deene - f. 1948), and Aradan (x Nadra - f. 1953).  All have representatives in today's Babson population.

Biroufa, a black mare, was purchased from the Babson Farm as a yearling by Roy and Nellie Jackson of Jackson's Arabian Nursery in Orange California. Biroufa had four foals, three of them were Straight Babson. They were Diroufa (1952 bay mare by Disaan), Andi (1953 chestnut stallion by Disaan) and Black Sambo (1956 black stallion by Mahroun).     Her filly is by Mahroun and is a full sister to Black Sambo. The filly did not survive and was not registered.

Biroufa's 1948 daughter Diroufa, was bred to the 1956 Biroufa son, Black Sambo, the resulting 1960 mare, Black Satin, is our current active link to Khebir through Biroufa, tracing to Khebir twice.

Black Sambo (By Mahroun)

Black Satin (1960 - 1993) had thirteen foals of which three were Straight Babson.  Her Babson foals were Princeton Faaris (1977 black stallion by Faaris), Princeton Maaroufa (1985 bay mare by Serr Maariner) and Princeton Mariner (1986 chestnut stallion by Serr Maariner).

Khedena was the dam of eight Straight Babsons from 1952 to 1962.  Her sons were Mahrouss (grey, f. 1954 by Fay-el-Dine), Fa-Rousse (black, f. 1958 by Fa-Serr), Serr Khe (bay, f. 1960 by Fa-Serr) and Khemahr (black, f. 1961 by Fa-Serr).  Her four daughters included Fay Khedena (grey, f. 1952 by Fay-el-Dine), Khamsa (Chestnut, f. 1953 by Fay-el-Dine), Serrena (bay, f. 1955 by Fa-Serr) and Fa Dena (black, f. 1962 by Fa-Serr).

Today's strongest link to Khedena comes through Fay Khedena's first foal and her only Straight Babson.  That is her daughter Misimma (1957 black by Fa-Serr).  Misimma in turn was the the dam of one St. Babson, a stallion.  He was Fabo (black, 1962 by Fabah).  Fabo in his long life sired 81 foals and is well represented in today's Straight Babson lines.

Add list of descendents of the Khedena line.

Aradan had ten foals, two were straight Babson, a daughter Khezera (1967 chestnut mare sired by Ibn Faddan) and a son Sera Khebir( 1976 chestnut stallion by Fleetfoot).    Khezera  is the current active Aradan line to Khebir.

Khezera had six foals, five were Straight Babson, three stallions and two mares.

They were Sera Dahmansabbah (1975 chestnut stallion by Fleetfoot (Khebir x Nadra)), Sera Dahman Saana (1976 chestnut stallion by Fleetfoot), Sera Dahmahsabbah (1977 chestnut mare by Fleetfoot), Sera Dahmah Saana (1978 chestnut mare by Fleetfoot) and Sera Ibn Khezera (1980 chestnut stallion by Fleetfoot)

Of Khezera's 5 Straight Babson descendents, only Sera Dahmansabbah bred on in Straight Babson lines.  Of his 22 foals, only two were Straight Babson.  They are the bay full brothers Bedu Sabir (1986) and Bedu Sahir (1987) from Shar Sabbah (Negem x Gammousa).  Bedu Sahir died leaving no foals.  The only current link is to Bedu Sabir who traces to Khebir twice.

Sera Dahmansabbah was also a sireline Khebir stallion through his sire Fleetfoot.
